Getting to Paradise: There is disabled parking in two bays on Vincent St, just near the pedestrian crosswalk. We are located approximately 50 metres from the crosswalk.
Access into and around the shop: The front step has a slight ramp and the ground floor is fully wheelchair accessible. There are two entrance doors that open inwards to the shop (push to enter, pull to exit). Pathways in the shop are wide enough for most prams and wheelchairs. On busy days (such as Saturday and Sunday) it can be difficult to move through the shop with a pram or wheelchair. The stairs to the second floor are quite steep and there is a handrail.
In the venue: There are LED lights throughout the venue. We only play music quietly in the front room so there are many spaces that are music free. We run a large HEPA air filter in the front room and strive to keep the front door open to allow for air circulation. We provide hand sanitiser at the front entrance. We have seating throughout the building and encourage you to relax and browse.
Public Toilets: The nearest accessible public toilets with a change room are 220m up the main street, approximately 5 minutes away. We can make staff toilets available in an emergency but they are upstairs and not accessible.
Other Info: We are a dog friendly bookshop (and all good pooches get treats). We welcome families with kids and prams.
